Il Momart gallery riapre dopo 10 anni in un nuovo spazio, con sede nel Sasso Caveoso, in piazza Madonna dell’Idris; con una location unica e suggestiva, una galleria d’arte nel cuore dei sassi e con all’interno volte e grotte in tufo.
Ritorna con nuovi progetti che saranno dedicati esclusivamente al mondo dell’arte in partnership con I tre portali.
Il Momart gallery intende promuovere artisti nei vari settori dell’arte contemporanea, dalla pittura alla fotografia, dalla scultura alle installazioni ai video realizzati da artisti anche di fama internazionale o nazionale ma soprattutto ha un occhio particolare e attento alla presenza di artisti nelle varie espressioni del territorio lucano, pugliese e delle vicine realtà limitrofe.
Momart gallery si propone come un luogo di incontro ma anche come spazio di formazione per artisti, fotografi e curatori con workshop e residenze d’artista ma anche come spazio di ricerca sperimentale per l’arte contemporanea, con la prospettiva di presentare progetti site specific, workshop formativi con figure di artisti di fama per percorsi creativi di art esperience.
Si presenteranno mostre personali e collettive di artisti non solo alla realtà locale ma anche alla presenza turistica che sempre di più si affaccia nello scenario della città di Matera designata a capitale della culturale 2019.
L’ obbiettivo è anche quello di creare dei ponti di collegamento tra varie realtà non solo della regione Basilicata, ma anche nazionali e internazionali e quindi di allacciare delle sinergie artistiche di più vasto raggio.
Il direttore artistico del Momart è Monica Palumbo, artista visiva che ha partecipato a numerose rassegne d’arte contemporanea.

The Momart gallery reopens after 10 years in a new space, located in Caveoso, in Piazza Madonna dell’Idris; with an unique and evocative place, an art gallery in the heart of the stones and inside sometimes and tufa caves.
Returns with new projects that will be exclusively dedicated to the art world in partnership with the three portals.
The Momart gallery aims to promote artists in various fields of contemporary art, from painting to photography, from sculpture to video installations by artists of international fame or even national but also has an eye and attentive to the presence of artists in the various expressions of territory Lucania, Puglia and nearby surrounding reality.
Momart gallery itself as a meeting place but also as a training space for artists, photographers and curators with workshops and artist residencies as well as experimental research space for contemporary art, with the prospect of presenting site specific projects, training workshops with figures of famous artists for creative paths of art esperience.
We will present solo and group exhibitions of artists not only to the local area but also to the presence of tourists who increasingly looks at the scenery of the city of Matera designated a cultural capital in 2019.
The goal is also to create connecting bridges between different realities not only of Basilicata region, but also national and international, and then fasten the artistic synergies more outreach.
The artistic director of Momart is Monica Palumbo, visual artist who has participated in numerous exhibitions of contemporary art.
